Earlier this month, Fulfill President & CEO Triada Stampas and Advocacy & Public Policy Manager Amanda Marino traveled to Washington, D.C. as part of Hunger Action Month to make sure the voices and experiences of our neighbors across Monmouth and Ocean counties are heard.
During the visit, Triada and Amanda met with every congressional office representing Fulfill’s service area, sharing what we continue to see across our network: demand for food assistance remains high, and food banks, pantries and community partners are working every day to help neighbors put food on the table.
We’re grateful to the offices of U.S. Senator Cory Booker, U.S. Senator Andy Kim, Congressman Jeff Van Drew, Congressman Herb Conaway, Jr., Congressman Chris Smith and Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. for taking the time to meet with us, hear directly about the needs of our communities and engage in conversations about food security.
Advocacy is one way Fulfill works to address food insecurity this Hunger Action Month, bringing the experiences of the neighbors and communities we serve directly to decision-makers and working together toward communities where everyone has reliable access to the food they need. 🧡
