On August 1st, the Jersey Shore Dream Center was honored to be the beneficiary of the Sea Girt 5K, a wonderful community event that brought together thousands of runners, families, and supporters.

It was a beautiful day, and we are incredibly grateful to the Sea Girt 5K and its organizing committee for their generous support of the Dream Center and their continued commitment to giving back to our community. Thank you, Sea Girt 5K!

🌟 STAFF SPOTLIGHT 🌟

Meet Gary Bickham — Marketing and Adopt-A-Block Ministry Leader

Born in Hope, Arkansas and raised on a cattle farm in Texas, Gary’s journey has taken him from Texas to Louisiana, England, New York City, and finally right here to the Jersey Shore.

Gary has been part of the Jersey Shore Dream Center since 2013 — back when it was still small and just getting started. But even then, he knew God was building something special.

“One of my favorite memories was when we received our very first donated truck. Honestly… it wasn’t pretty. Every time we started it, we had to spray ethanol straight into the carburetor just to get it running. But then came the day we put ‘Jersey Shore Dream Center’ on the side of that truck. Suddenly it wasn’t just an old truck anymore — it was a mission. It was purpose.”

Gary and Pastor Isaac stood in front of that truck taking pictures, soaking in the moment. What may not have looked like much to the outside world meant everything to them.

“That was the beginning of something special… and we’re still just getting started.”

Thank you, Gary, for over a decade of faithfulness, vision, and heart for this community. 💙
