Dunbar Foundation seeks to positively impact the lives of children, adults and the elderly by fostering intergenerational connections while also offering assistance in navigating through social, judicial, educational, and medical systems. In our pursuit of positively impacting all community members and fostering intergenerational connections, ZADF is involved in community service and outreach, as
well as promoting academic achievement through engaging learning experiences, the arts, and wellness. Our creative opportunities for children’s learning include: exposure to visual arts, recreation, performance art, technology, nutrition, science, mathematics, and wellness. These are just a few of many of the exciting ways through which children can enjoy learning. Besides these creative opportunities for learning, in order to minimize the generational gap between the young and elderly, our foundation also provides an avenue for children to learn alongside members of our elderly community. We have also established a parent advocacy support agency to assist parents with advocating for special needs services for their children, such as exceptional education, disability, and language access. With this assistance, we aim to provide parents with the necessary tools needed to develop their own support groups around these specific issues by connecting them with community-based organizations.
