Tonight, Fletcher takes on Nease, and the Pride of the Beaches is excited to welcome our future Senators from Fletcher, Mayport, and Kernan middle schools! 💜

Behind every performance is a crew of parents and volunteers helping make it all possible. 💜🎶

From building and moving props, driving trailers, and hauling equipment to serving meals, organizing uniforms, fundraising, and chaperoning—you give your time, energy, and heart to keep our band program running.

Through early mornings, late nights, and everything in between, your work behind the scenes helps our students take the field prepared, supported, and ready to shine.

Today, we honor and remember Liam Mroz Mathews, who passed away on October 4, 2024. Two years later, our Fletcher band family continues to hold him and his loved ones close in our hearts. 💜

His memorial bench offers a place to pause, remember, and reflect. The drumsticks and flowers are a loving reminder that Liam will always have a place in our band family.

The words engraved on his bench carry a message we can all take with us: “Love deeply. Believe fervently. Live fully.”

Liam, you are remembered, you are missed, and you will always be part of the Pride of the Beaches. 💜🥁

Today, we take the field for our FIRST COMPETITION of the season! Every hot rehearsal, every repetition, and every moment spent growing together has led to this.

Our Fletcher Band family is heartbroken by the passing of Mark McCrary, a beloved band dad whose dedication meant so much to our program. 💜

Mark understood that being a band dad meant showing up—and he did, time and time again. His presence, encouragement, and love for his family and our band made him a special part of the memories we shared. These photos capture some of what we will hold close: his smile, his pride, and the joy of being together.

We are deeply grateful for the time and heart Mark gave to our band family. His absence will be felt, and his dedication will be remembered with love.

Our hearts are with the McCrary family and everyone who loved him. Mark, thank you for always showing up. You will always be part of our Fletcher Band family. 💜

October is here… which means BANDTOBER has officially begun! 🎶💜🥁

The long rehearsals, Friday night lights, competitions, early mornings, late nights, and countless hours together create something bigger than a marching band — they create a family.

And just like any family, they don’t always agree. 😂 They might get annoyed with each other, argue, get on each other’s nerves, and have their moments… but at the end of the day, the love is still there. They show up for each other, push each other, celebrate together, and have each other’s backs.

From standing arm-in-arm in a circle to taking the field together, these are the moments they’ll remember long after the final note is played. 🥹💜

BANDTOBER will be busy. It will be exhausting. It might even be a little crazy. But it’s also when some of the best memories are made.

Here’s to BANDTOBER — the music, the memories, the chaos, the laughter, the occasional family disagreement 😂, and most importantly, the family. 💜🎶🥁
