Congratulations to our newest coaches joining the Neosho Athletics & Activities staff for the 2026–2027 school year! 👏

Braden Baade, Head Boys Tennis Coach
We are excited to welcome Braden Baade as our new Head Boys Tennis Coach! Baade comes to Neosho after two successful years at Joplin, where he led the program to back-to-back COC West conference titles, a district title, and an overall record of 33-8. He is USTA certified and brings a passion for growing not just a competitive tennis program, but an active tennis community here in Neosho.

Austin Gripka, Head JH Volleyball Coach
We are thrilled to welcome Austin Gripka back to Neosho as our Head Junior High Volleyball Coach! Gripka brings over 10 years of coaching experience across high school, junior high, and club volleyball, and was named Assistant Coach of the Year by the MHSVCA in 2017. Most recently he led his Club MVP 17-1 team to a Heart of America Regional Championship and an invite to the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships this summer. We are glad to have him back!

Abbigale Gilliam, Volunteer Assistant Girls Soccer Coach
We are proud to welcome Abbigale Gilliam back home as a Volunteer Assistant Girls Soccer Coach! A 2020 Neosho High School graduate, Abbigale played varsity soccer for three years and served as boys soccer manager for three years. She is currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education and is excited to give back to the community and program that helped shape her as a student-athlete.

Jayley Ackerson, Volunteer Assistant JH Volleyball Coach
We are excited to welcome Jayley Ackerson as a Volunteer Assistant JH Volleyball Coach! A Neosho and Crowder College alumna, Jayley currently serves as Club Director and Head Coach for SHO Volleyball Club right here in Neosho. She brings a passion for player development, confidence building, and creating a positive team culture that athletes are proud to be part of.

Jacob Cashour, Head Boys Soccer Coach
We are excited to welcome Jacob Cashour into his new role as Head Boys Soccer Coach! Cashour brings a strong coaching background including three seasons as assistant at River Bluff High School under 15-time state champion Phil Savitz, as well as a National Championship as a collegiate player at Southern Wesleyan University in 2015. His coaching philosophy of H.E.A.R.T. (Honor, Effort, Attitude, Resilience, and Trust) will be at the center of everything the Neosho Boys Soccer program does.

Fess Thompson, Assistant Girls Basketball Coach
We are proud to welcome Coach Fess Thompson to the Lady Wildcats program! Thompson brings over 20 years of experience developing girls basketball athletes across Arkansas and Missouri, including a remarkable 22–0 undefeated season in 2022. He is 94 Feet of Game certified under NBA skills coach Phil Handy and is known for building programs from the ground up with a focus on fundamentals, confidence, and total player growth.

Seth Kendall, Assistant Girls Basketball & Assistant JH Football Coach
We are excited to welcome Seth Kendall to Neosho as a first year teacher and coach! A recent graduate of Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Seth comes with 2 years of involvement in the Rogers School District and a passion for coaching youth basketball and football. We are glad to have him here!

Thomas Sangston, Assistant Boys Basketball Coach
We are thrilled to welcome Coach Thomas Sangston back to the Wildcats sideline! Entering his seventh year of coaching, Sangston brings experience at both the junior high and high school levels and previously served as part of the Neosho Boys Basketball program from 2023 to 2025. He played collegiate basketball at Central Methodist University and is passionate about developing young men both on and off the court.
