Round 2 of the Veteran Banner Project is open! We are very happy with the banners and are opening up your chance to purchase one for your Veteran. These will be hung before Veterans' Day in November.
You can download this form or pick one up at the Board of Education Office in Yates Center.
They will need a clear picture of the veteran, preferably in uniform. The cost of the banner is $175. If you would like to sponsor a banner for a veteran who has no living relative in town, you can talk to Kathe,
Nick Hay or Vicki Hay and they will gratefully help you with that.
They are asking for a short bio of the veteran, but that is not necessary to purchase a banner.
They are hoping to use that information for a historical record for our county. Nick Hay can be helpful in getting information for you if needed.
Seventy-three banners were purchased the first go-round. They had many people interested in getting one this time.
The deadline is June 26th.
They appreciate your support for this project.
Woodson County loves their veterans and our nation!
