The Athens County Sheriff's Office is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time Administrative Assistant position. This position serves as a primary point of contact for the public and requires strong technology skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with multiple computer systems in a professional law enforcement environment.

Responsibilities Include:
• Greeting and assisting visitors
• Answering and directing telephone calls
• Processing concealed handgun license applications
• Conducting BCI/FBI background checks
• Performing electronic fingerprinting services
• Entering, maintaining, retrieving, and verifying information in multiple databases and software systems
• Processing payments and maintaining electronic records
• Assisting with records management, scanning, and document retention
• Providing administrative support to Sheriff's Office personnel
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information

Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED
• Administrative, clerical, customer service, or office experience preferred
• Strong computer proficiency required, including Microsoft Office, email, data entry, and the ability to learn specialized software
• Experience working in multiple computer systems and databases preferred
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Requirements:
• Successful criminal background investigation
• Clean criminal history
• Eligibility for access to state and federal law enforcement information systems
• Valid driver's license
• Professionalism, integrity, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills

Work Schedule:
• Part-time position
• Approximately 19–28 hours per week
• Hours scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Schedule may vary based on operational needs

Compensation:
Hourly wage based on qualifications and experience.

Even tho we miss our old tile floor, looking at this makes the sting a lot less! Could not be happier with how GSF did with our floor. Even through weather and other set backs they were able to help us get exactly what we wanted!!!

Our Summer Academy has a fun day planned tomorrow! We’ll have local heros from Nelsonville Police Department and Nelsonville Fire Department on site to teach safety and explore. We also have some inflatable waters slides for the kids to enjoy. Please see the note below with information for water day.
