Please remember that the City of Neligh offices, including Dial-A-Ride, and the Neligh Public Library will be closed on Monday, September 7th. But don't worry, the Neligh Police Department is always here for you and can be reached anytime at 402-887-4335. Curbside garbage pickup will be happening on Tuesday, September 8th, starting bright and early at 8:00 a.m. Wishing you a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Neligh residents and business owners will be receiving notice of this in the mail with the utility bill. All residential garbage totes and commercial dumpsters shall not be overfilled. If the lids cannot close, any excessive garbage will be removed and placed at the curb. Residential customers may purchase garbage bags at the City office and Thriftway Market, or you can request an additional tote at the City office.

Residents will be receiving a “notice to correct” letter regarding overgrown trees. Trees must be trimmed back to the curb or further. The minimum height is 14’ for trees overhanging in the street. Trees overhanging the sidewalks need to be trimmed to a height of 8’.

On an average daily basis, Dial-A-Ride Public Transit transports 40 riders on two buses. Some riders are transported multiple times. Contact Dial-A-Ride Public Transit at 402-887-4225 to schedule your ride. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
