UPDATE TO DROP OFF OF LITHIUM BATTERIES:
Did you know lithium-ion batteries can be recycled at the Neligh Compactor/ Transfer Station? In fact, proper recycling can reduce the chance of a lithium-ion fire risk! What’s a lithium-ion battery? It is a rechargeable battery where the ions move back and forth to keep our favorite electronics working, and re-working. For an idea of what devices use lithium-ion batteries, check out this sample list, not an exclusive list. Please remember to take lithium-ion batteries to the Compactor/Transfer Station. Thank you!
