Parents of Teens: Does your teenager have a passion they love to share with others? The Marquette County 4-H program has a opportunity where they can share what they know AND learn more about their area of interest as a 4-H Teen Leader.
Our Year-Round 4-H Clubs are project-based, so they can work with adult club leaders and other teen leaders to create activities where they can share their skills and knowledge with younger youth. Teens are amazing resources that are often overlooked, but not in 4-H! Take a look at our 4-H Teen Leader role description and learn what it's all about!
Don't see a 4-H Club on the list that fits your teens interests? No problem! Your teen can work with 4-H staff to develop a 4-H SPIN (SPecial INterest) club where participants meet 6-8 times over a 2 month window of time to SPARK interest in others that can lead to a year-round club!
Your teen will:
-Build leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
-Make a meaningful difference in the lives of younger 4‑H members.
-Gain experience useful for resumes, scholarships, and future jobs.
-Strengthen friendships and connections within your club.
-Demonstrate responsibility and service—core parts of 4‑H.
And they will be having so much fun, they won't even realize everything they're learning! Contact Liana at 906-315-2663 or [email protected] for more information.
