If you happened to see the Rebuilding Together Fox Valley staff at last night's United Way Fox Cities Trivia event at Bridgewood, you might have some serious concerns about how we manage to run an organization.

Julie was on an emotional rollercoaster as we repeatedly chose to BET IT ALL... and repeatedly got the answers wrong.

Vaya took it upon herself to sprint our answers to the scoring table, occasionally body-slamming people out of the way, despite there being absolutely NO advantage to turning in answers first.

And Jamie? She was having such a great time that she didn't even realize she'd won a raffle basket until they had to look up her name and call her out!

The Husbands took all of this behavior in stride and were just as shocked as we were when our questionable "bet it all" strategy FINALLY paid off. We nailed the final question and launched ourselves from second-to-last place all the way to FIFTH!

All jokes aside, it was a wonderful evening filled with familiar faces, plenty of laughter, and the chance to support United Way Fox Cities, an organization that has been making a difference in our community for decades.

And fair warning to the competition...OSHA's Most Wanted will be back for redemption next year! 💚

A little hard work, a lot of heart, and one incredible day of giving back! Today, Rebuilding Together Fox Valley had the pleasure of partnering with Capital Credit Union for their Community Impact Day at the Greater Green Bay YMCA - West Side KIDS Camp!

Our volunteers rolled up their sleeves, tackled projects, hauled what felt like endless woodchips, and didn't let an 82-degree October day slow them down!

One of our favorite moments? Two of today's volunteers actually attended this very camp when they were kids! Talk about coming full circle! They went from making memories at camp to helping make sure future generations of campers can do the same. ⛺️

Thanks to the hard work of our amazing volunteers, we finished several projects, wrapped up our work ahead of schedule, and helped get the camp ready for its reopening next spring.

A HUGE thank you to Capital Credit Union for choosing to invest your time, energy, and enthusiasm into our community. Your team showed up ready to work, and the results speak for themselves!

And a special shoutout to our incredible RTFV staff and board volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make sure the day ran smoothly. Great things happen when great people come together!

Executive Director, Vaya, kicked off her Wednesday morning with joy, laughter, and even a little education! After sharing a bit about our organization, she went over tips and tricks for caring for your home. The group was engaged and had some great questions.

We finally hosted one of the last remaining auction items to be fulfilled: our Real Life Reality package hosted by our current Marketing and Development Manager, Julie, who was once an Emmy-winning reality TV show producer in Los Angeles!

We transformed the conference room into a cozy living room with w**e and snacks as we settled in for the tell-all. We watched an episode of Jersey Shore that she produced while hearing how stories are told and what a Frankenclip is!

It was so much fun that Executive Director Vaya kicked us out at 9:00pm after she agreed to let us do a Part 2. Let us know if you're interested in joining for next time!

It seems schedules all around have been busy, as we JUST had the Lunch with the Mayor portion of our All Access Appleton auction item from our Spring Razzle Event! 🥪

Our winners enjoyed a delicious meal downtown Appleton at Antojitos Mexicanos with City of Appleton Government Mayor Jake Woodford. There were a lot more laughs, jokes, and great conversations NOT about the city than expected, but it was SO. MUCH. FUN. 🥳

Next, the Guerts will head to Appleton's Wastewater Treatment Facility, where they will get an in-depth tour, a free pack of toilet paper, and their gift certificate for a free round of golf for two at Reid Golf Course! ⛳️

Last week was a beautiful mix of new and returning volunteers coming together for our Volunteer Training Session! There is something really special about seeing new friends excited to learn more and returning friends who helped build our organization.

We know getting out of your comfort zone can be scary! Our team works hard to make sure it's a gentle entry with training in whatever volunteer role you'd like to fill. Trainings take place at our offices so there are no worries about learning on a real person's home.🏘️

The best part? If you go through the training and afterward don't think it's the right fit for you? Not. A. Problem. We're more than willing to find something that fits you best. 💚

Remember that Gather & Graze dinner we auctioned off at our Razzle event earlier this year? Well friends, dinner has officially been served!

Jill Paul and Chef Gary Griffith put together a four-course dinner right in the winning bidder’s home, and I think we can safely say they delivered!

Good food, good people, no cooking, no dishes, and no fighting over where everyone wants to go for dinner.

We LOVE seeing so many familiar faces, but there is one that especially stands out: RTFV Board of Directors member, Denise Houshour! She is a dynamic rockstar at getting things done for the organization. And when she's not taking the work truck for a deep cleaning and detail, she's emailing grant leads, bringing snacks, and bringing volunteer groups onsite. We are honored to be one of her organizations and look forward to the awards in October!

The humans at RTFV have a lot going on right now. 😂

Between trying to take some long-scheduled vacation time, cleaning up after the tornado, sitting through day-long certifications and trainings, getting kids back to school, and, you know… actually repairing and modifying homes, our already shorthanded staff is doing our best to pitch in wherever we can.

So we brought in some extra help.
Ms. Tilly has taken over answering emails.
Judging by the look on her face, it is not going well. 😂🐾

Please be patient with us over the next couple of weeks as we juggle schedules and keep projects moving. And if you're planning to stop by the office, please give us a call first to make sure one of the humans is actually there.

Even better? Help us hire another human.

We're looking for a part-time Home Modification Assistant to help fill the gaps when volunteers aren't available and keep repairs moving for our homeowners. It's 20 hours per week, $20/hour, with training provided and a flexible schedule.
