🌿 Already growing native plants? The Less Lawn More Life Challenge is for you too.

The Less Lawn More Life Challenge isn’t just about getting started. It’s about going deeper: learning more about invasive species, water conservation, habitat structure, ecological gardening, and how our individual spaces connect into something bigger.

Whether you manage a thriving native garden, volunteer in restoration, lead a Wild Ones chapter, or simply want to keep learning alongside thousands of others working toward healthier ecosystems, there’s still time to join.

New participants always start at Week 1 and can move through the challenge at their own pace.

Nature starts at home, but it grows through community.

🌳 Week 4 of is here!

This week’s challenge, hosted by Andrew The Arborist, is to plant a keystone native tree or shrub 🌿

Keystone plants are some of the most important plants we can add to our landscapes—supporting hundreds of species of butterflies, moths, birds, and other wildlife. Even planting just one can make a real impact.

Open the Wildr Places app and look for the 🦋 symbol to find keystone species native to your area.

🌱 Challenge 3 of the Challenge with Wildr Places is all about planting native.

This week’s goal: add native plants to your space. Whether it’s one plant, a few plugs, or a whole garden bed, every native plant helps rebuild habitat for birds, bees, butterflies, and other wildlife.

This week’s challenge is all about:
• discovering which native plants belong in your ecoregion
• finding plants through local nurseries, online sources, or plant sharing with neighbors and friends
• getting them in the ground and creating more space for life to thrive

Thanks to Rebecca McMackin for leading this week’s challenge and sharing how every native plant helps reconnect the relationships that support healthy ecosystems.

It’s free to join and not too late to start: https://www.lesslawnmorelife.com/?ref=wildones
