Isaac is a resilient soul whose journey has taken unexpected turns. Over time, he faced muscle weakness, hindering his ability to use his legs and hands, affecting even the basic tasks we often take for granted. Isaac's challenges extended beyond his initial diagnosis, leaving doctors puzzled.

In 2022, after months of collaboration with the neuromuscular team at the University of CA San Francisco, they uncovered another layer of Isaac's story — he battles Myasthenia Gravis, a neuromuscular disease impacting his muscle control.

Step into Isaac's journey – a story of resilience and unwavering courage. What began as a puzzling challenge unfolded into a complex narrative. Muscle weakness gripped his legs and hands, rendering everyday tasks a struggle. Holding his head, chewing, and even breathing became formidable feats.
The medical puzzle deepened when, beyond his original CAPS diagnosis, Isaac was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, a neuromuscular disease amplifying the battle for muscle control. In 2022, the path forward became clearer through the dedicated efforts of the neuromuscular team at the University of CA San Francisco.

Yet, the challenges persisted. In the year following his diagnosis, Isaac faced respiratory failure multiple times, each episode leading him to the ICU, tethered to a ventilator for weeks at a time.

Isaac is a 15-year-old boy from Ramsey, MN who was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, and cyropyrin-associated periodic syndrome in September of 2018. Isaac has faced ongoing challenges with his immune system, coping with a difficult CAPS diagnosis that caused various childhood symptoms. His mom explains it as "it feels that we have this big tornado.” That is why we’re on a mission raise $10,000 to fund a special trip for Isaac and his family to Hawaii. This journey will offer them a chance to make happy memories in a different setting, providing a break from their current challenges!
