A large box truck was stopped by a Fulshear Police officer after it was observed operating without a license plate. As part of our commitment to officer safety, a Fulshear Police Department drone was providing aerial support during the traffic stop, giving the officer an additional layer of situational awareness and an extra set of eyes on the scene.

The drone was deployed to enhance officer safety during a lawful traffic stop and provided real-time aerial observations that allowed officers to safely monitor the encounter. During the stop, the drone operator observed suspicious movements among the vehicle's occupants that raised concerns and contributed to the investigation.

With the assistance of the drone's observations, officers conducted a thorough investigation that resulted in the discovery of co***ne concealed inside the vehicle.

Three individuals were arrested and charged with felony narcotics offenses.

This incident demonstrates how the Fulshear Police Department's drone program enhances both officer safety and investigative effectiveness. By providing real-time aerial intelligence and situational awareness, drones serve as a force multiplier, helping officers make informed decisions, identify potential threats, and safely resolve incidents while protecting both our officers and the community.

Technology continues to play an important role in modern policing, and in this case, it helped officers safely investigate criminal activity while maintaining a focus on public and officer safety.
