Austin takeover!!!! An outstanding display of determination and teamwork from all our teams who competed with unwavering enthusiasm! Our High School Boys and Jr High Boys claimed their championship titles!!!!! Meanwhile, our High School Girls demonstrated remarkable skill and resilience, securing an impressive second place!!!!!! So proud of every team for going out there and competing!!!!

Family business!!! Great job to all of our teams this weekend in Austin, Tx !!!!! We definitely saw a lot of practice hours translate to the game!!! A lot of our kids have never played before until they started with us, growing, learning, taking their lumps and struggles along the way!! The basketball I’ll stop bouncing one day but the life lessons will last a lifetime!! Thanks to the awesome parents we have to help wherever is needed and this is that only about half the village !!!

Offering deepest condolences to the family, friends, and community of Joshua Lahai.

UPDATE: The body of 11-year-old Joshua Lahai has been recovered after a massive multi-day search at Surfside Beach.

Texas EquuSearch founder Tim Miller confirmed Joshua was found Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. near Oyster Street and Beach Drive along the coastline.

According to Surfside police, a fisherman in the water felt something brush against him and flagged down an officer nearby. That officer immediately jumped into the water and recovered Joshua’s body.

“My job was to get the body in, bring closure to the family,” the officer said.

Joshua disappeared Sunday evening while swimming offshore with another child. Authorities say a large wave pulled him underwater, and he never resurfaced.

Dozens of search crews from Texas EquuSearch, Surfside PD, Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Coast Guard spent more than two days searching by air, boat, drone, and shoreline.
