Phase 1 of the grocery store project is underway, and our focus now is raising the funds needed to complete the professional market study.

Tomorrow’s meeting will be a working session focused on fundraising and next steps, including ideas like community tip jar placements and a potential fundraising event with local organizations.

If you’ve been attending, we’d really like you there as we begin assigning leads and moving ideas into action.

Phase 1 Begins – Co-Op Committee Meeting This Thursday!

We’re moving into Phase 1 of the River Communities Grocery Cooperative!

Join us this Thursday at 6:00 PM at Palo Verde College (Needles Campus) as we begin building our fundraising outreach list and finalize the presentation we’ll use to connect with businesses, community leaders, and supporters.

This is where momentum starts.
This is where planning turns into action.

That co-op is getting off the ground.

We’re moving forward with the River Communities Grocery Cooperative — a community-owned grocery store built to support our neighbors, our seniors, and keep food dollars local.

• Where we’ll be heading over the next four months
• Potential location options
• Ways community members can get involved and take action

Seniors deserve easier access to groceries.
Our food dollars should stay in our community.
And this store should reflect the people it serves.

This meeting is open to everyone — bring a friend or a neighbor.

This cooperative will only be as strong as the community behind it.

Hello friends and supporters,

It’s been a while since our last update, but we want you to know that the River Communities Coalition (RCC) is still hard at work. Our main focus these past months has been supporting Local Teamsters 1932 in moving forward with the Needles Community Grocery Co-op — a project we believe will make a lasting difference for our town.

Our goals haven’t changed. RCC remains dedicated to improving quality of life and strengthening our local economy through community-driven projects.

This Thursday at 6:00 PM, we’ll be holding a Zoom call to discuss how we can reach more of our neighbors and build the community support this Co-op needs to succeed.
This won’t be a Q&A session — it’s a working conversation focused on outreach strategies, and we’ll be reviewing a pledge card designed to help gather feedback and community commitments.

If you’d like to be part of this discussion and help shape how we connect with Needles residents, we’d love to have you join us.
