As the anniversary of last's year's tragedy at the Boston Marathon approaches, we would like to remember those who fought for our city to be a safer place for those we serve every day, children.
We would like to recognize and remember the 120 kids that participated in a Kidz n' Art Art Party at the Kingsley Montessori School in Boston last year. The students, ranging from first grade to sixth grade, created art to thank the First Responders, police, firefighters, and hospitals who helped in the last year's Marathon tragedy.
Some of the designs were printed on delicious Wicked Good Cookies. Peter, “The Cookie Man”, and Nancy went around to the Boston police and fire stations, and hospitals to share wonderful cookie baskets, explaining how appreciative the Kingsley Montessori children are of all the hard work these men and women do each and every day for Boston. Everyone who received baskets was so incredibly thankful and happy after seeing how hard the kids worked on their designs!
The Lenox Hotel, which became an impromptu police command center during the Marathon aftermath, introduced the KnA charity to the school and served cookies in the lobby of the hotel.
The cookies that were produced as a result of the "Boston Strong" KnA/Wicked Good Cookies Art Party at Kingsley Montessori were available for purchase with any proceeds going to the One Fund Boston.
