As we enter 2026, the Barbara Popper Foundation is proud to announce the launch of the Barbara Popper Family Leadership Institute https://fcsn.org/changemakers/. We have collaborated with the Federation for Children with Special Needs (FCSN) Federation for Children with Special Needs to launch this initiative.
We recently joined in celebrating the first cohort of the Barbara Popper Leadership Institute at the FCSN office in Boston. It was inspiring to see what the Federation and these amazing participants have accomplished in a few short months. FCSN unveiled their initiative for the rest of the program - The Partnership for Transition to Adulthood https://pftamass.wordpress.com/ We look forward to supporting their continued efforts on this initiative as they honor Barbara's legacy of advocacy and positively impact the lives of children and families.
The support from our foundation will play a vital role in building a coalition of family members of students with disabilities who will take action to improve polices, programs, and practices that impact families - guided by Barbara's belief in the power of parent and caregiver advocacy.
