Since 1999, The Revitalization Trust Fund (NCRTF) has designed, funded and installed more than 30 public space revitalization projects, all funded by private donations. The Revitalization Trust Fund Committee is composed of seven volunteer members who administer the creation, fund raising and installation of each project, in partnership with the town of Needham. All public space projects are appro
ved and accepted as a gift to the Town of Needham by the Needham Select Board. Sculptures, Benches, Bleachers, the town wide Symbols of Pride Banner and American Flag program, Chapel Street Banner Showcase program, Waste Cans, Historic Wall Mural Restoration, are just a few of the projects completed so far, with more on the way thanks to you! Every project is designed to directly reflect the character and values of the people of Needham and to integrate into the specific environment within which it is placed. "It is only through reaching out, that we are drawn together™" has been our guiding message. It began in 1999 with the "Once Upon A Time" children reading together, and in 2001, the Circle of Peace sculpture arrived shortly after the 9/11 tragedy. We work to create magnetic public spaces that draw people in and encourage community as they connect, laugh and enjoy moments of peaceful contemplation.
