Vicki and I will be setting up our booth in Destin this week for the Perfect Hues Festival. There are tons of activities during the day and the art show starts at 5:00 pm and runs til 9:00 pm. The Festival is 3 days long ( September 4 -6). You can check their website for the details. Here are just a few of the pieces we are bringing to the show. Please drop by if you’re in the area. Just finished this piece today. It’s 17” in diameter so should be able to hang anywhere. Working the rusty porthole into the background was trickier than I expected so it took a couple of weeks to finish. We’ll be showing this piece and others at Gallery Night in Pensacola on August 21st. Hope to see you there.

Here are a couple of my latest projects: I had planned to do the octopus in natural walnut but the wood did not cooperate so I ended up painting it. The sailfish is one of my first attempts at airbrushing. Still a lot to learn.

Just about to finish this piece. It is carved from a cedar slab and has taken about 2 weeks to get to this point. We were very blessed that we found a buyer for it at last week’s Art and W**e Festival. I’m hoping to deliver it today or tomorrow.

Had a lot of folks interested in the Octopus but we were not able to do a deal today. We did find a buyer for this sea turtle piece, even though it is not yet finished. I will finish it out over the next 2 weeks and get in the hands of the generous couple who purchased it.
