It seems like it was a working hand weekend around NYSA. And we never shy away from work……So the commish and family jumped on the band wagon and painted the tables at the soccer complex.

First round of painting today, second round will be complete by the time we start practices for the season tomorrow.

Ok, Summer Flag Football families… we fumbled a little bit, BUT we recovered the ball, and we are RUNNING toward the end zone!

ALL teams officially have a head coach!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who stepped up for these amazing athletes. Thanks to everyone who posted or shared posts. Your willingness to volunteer, lead, and pour into these kids is what makes this league possible.

Not all teams are fully loaded into GameChanger just yet, but you should begin receiving texts and/or emails from your coaches soon.

A few important notes:

Some teams were absorbed into other teams
Some teams went through name changes

So if your coach reaches out and mentions a different team name than you originally expected… don’t panic; that’s why.

Hey, NYSA Flag Football Parents!

An email went out this morning to a handful of families regarding shorts sizes.

Since this is our FIRST season with shorts included in the registration package, we discovered that some player sizes were not selected during registration.

If you received:
📧 An email from me
OR
📱 A message from your coach

…please reply as soon as possible with your player’s shorts size so we can finalize the order TODAY.

To everyone who has already responded — THANK YOU!

We do not want to make assumptions for any player when it comes to sizing.

And don’t panic if you DIDN’T get an email
That likely means you already selected a shorts size during registration.

If you are unsure, feel free to send us an email with:
✔️ Player’s name
✔️ Division
✔️ Shorts size

Jersey and shorts orders are going in TODAY!

🏈👀 Summer season… is that YOU on the horizon?!

Another touch of newness is coming to NYSA Flag Football this season.

Parents, many of you have been reaching out asking where your players landed after the draft. While we will absolutely continue replying individually, we thought it would be awesome if we were LOUD and intentional about letting everyone know where their athletes are headed this summer. 🔥

And yes — your coaches will absolutely be reaching out soon if they haven’t already.

We are still looking for:
🚨 TWO 8U coaches
🚨 THREE 12U coaches

So if you’ve been thinking about stepping up, NOW is the time. We have athletes ready to go and teams ready to be led.

And coaches… before we even officially start the season, let me say it again:

Some of you are coaching two teams.
Some of you are stepping in to help divisions that are still without head coaches.
Some of you have already been planning, organizing, and preparing behind the scenes.

Your dedication, teamwork, and willingness to pour into these athletes already has me excited to see what happens once the cleats hit the field.

🔥 June 12 = Season Opener + “Previews”

Think of it as a Friday night showcase — a round of scrimmages where every team gets a chance to compete before the season officially gets rolling. Teams will compete in tournament-style games with modified quarters and halftime.

The countdown is ON.

🏈 NYSA Flag Football Family… we need you! 🏈

We know not everyone was able to make it out to evaluations this past Saturday, but now it’s time to build these teams — and we are still in need of coaches.

And yes… some of you dads already know your wives volunteered you. 😅
We won’t name names… yet. 😂

Right now, we still need:

🚨 TWO 6U coaches
🚨 TWO 8U coaches
🚨 THREE 12U coaches

If you selected “yes” or showed interest in coaching when you registered your player, this is your moment. We need you to step up and help lead these kids.

We have excited players ready for a team.
We have families waiting for updates.
Now we need leaders willing to help make this season happen.

You don’t have to be perfect.
You don’t have to know everything.
You just have to care, show up, and be willing to lead.

🏈 NYSA Flag Football Family… y’all showed up today! 🏈

To our players, families, coaches, and referees — thank you.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we worked to get players signed in and organized. Even though the drills may have been simple, it was amazing watching these athletes get out there, run routes, compete, and show us what they’re bringing into this season.

And coaches… let’s talk about it. 👏

Despite other sports being played on the same day, you still showed up. You worked together during the draft, supported the process, and even helped provide ideas and a framework for your individual divisions. That kind of leadership is exactly what helps build a strong league. And the fact that some of you came in your team apparel....I love it!

We’ve got teams coming together, and the energy is already real:

Steelers x2, Saints x2, Raiders, Ravens, Eagles x3, Bengals x2, 49ers, Packers x3, Falcons, Chiefs, Rams, Chargers, Lions, Seahawks… and a few more still to come! 🔥

I truly anticipate a great season, and with the dedication we have as a collective — players, parents, coaches, referees, volunteers, and NYSA leadership — I know it will be.

NYSA FLAG FOOTBALL FAMILIES — IT’S GO TIME!

Summer 2026 Flag Football is almost here, and our Evaluations & Draft Day is coming up FAST!

📅 Saturday, May 16
⏰ Evaluations begin at 10:00 AM
📍 Navarre Soccer Complex
9299 Military Trail, Navarre, FL 32566

After evaluations, we’ll move right into:
🏈 Draft per division at 12:00 PM
🦓 Referee training at 1:30 PM

This is where teams start coming together, coaches get a first look, and the summer season officially starts taking shape.

📌 Key season dates:

Practices start: June 1
Season opener: June 12
Friday night games through July 31
Team pictures: June 26
Makeup picture day: June 30
🚫 No games: July 3

Players, coaches, referees, and families — make sure you’re locked in and ready.
