Our philosophy is always "progress over perfection". Because in a game like baseball, perfection isn't realistic, even in the MLB.
But this past weekend, our 12u team was nearly perfect, going an unprecedented 6 - 0 at the Grand Slam Mississippi Coastal Pumpkin Smash Bash, winning it all against 13 formidable teams from all over this region.

And what makes it even sweeter...is this particular roster's backstory. A year ago, 9 of these 12 athletes didn't even know each other. 8 months ago, this roster was taking an absolute beating in tournament play. It. was. rough.

But progress. And relationships. And heart.

Steady improvement started to show in pool play, then in Bracket play. A Championship win in Biloxi in April, another in May, then a World Series Title in June.

We shook off some rust early this Fall season, but Saturday, the boys went 2 - 0, scoring 21 runs, with one error free game. On Sunday, the pitching dialed in and the bats stayed hot. 12u allowed only 9 runs in 4 games and scored 31 runs on opponents with winning records. The championship game was exactly what you hope for. Great pitching on both sides, great defense on both sides, one winner. Punishers sealed the deal with 10 strikeouts, and only one walk in 5 innings. Punishers 4, GC Outlaws 2.

It was like a storybook. And the dugout was always loud, and full of words of affirmation amongst teammates. This roster stuck together when it was rough and gets to celebrate together when it's awesome. Punishers 12u is now ranked #69 in the nation. And we are only getting started.

But this program isn't about one team. We had FIVE Punisher teams in the gauntlet this weekend. 14U dominated in bracket play games 1 & 2 and simply fell just short in the semi-finals. That team has never looked better. Hot bats, positive dugout, really exciting defense.

9U, 11U and 13U faced FIERCE opposition and continue to impress us each week with their improvement on defense and offense. You won't find a negative Nancy in any of these dugouts. They FIGHT until that last pitch and its only a joy to watch these boys grow as athletes and teammates.

Biloxi, MS, the boys and Black and Red will be back!! Get READY!!!

While most of us were still cleaning up storm debris and navigating our homes in the dark, our 12u softball girlies took to Bay Minette and played ball!

Always amazed by this team’s spirit and heart for the game!!

Your 12u Lady Punishers found a way to get field work in last night despite our home fields still being closed due to damage from the hurricane.

Here they are, hand over heart, as retreat plays on the speakers at Hurlburt Field, AFB before practice began 🇺🇸

They had to do heroic work evacuating their animals and then the effort to restore the grounds to working order after the storm. The kids are out of school, go do something fun and educational today🏝️

After the storm…

Thank you Punisher families for helping us clear the debris and rehang the bullpen netting in the outdoor area. Our teams have been able to resume practices this week due to that effort. 399 Sports Performance still has no power but we are max performing the outdoor area with lights on the generator and a can do attitude 😉 ♥️ 🖤

We were supposed to play ball in Alabama this weekend…
but Mother Nature had other plans. ⛈️🌧️🌀

We’re two tournaments into the Fall season and there’s already so much to be excited about across the program! ⚾🔥

🏆 14U Baseball is undefeated in pool play!
🥈 13U Baseball were finalists in Tournament #1 and brought that same fire into Tournament #2 with error-free games and dynamite defense!
💪 12U Baseball fell just short of the finals in Tournament #2 after an absolute nail-biter against the Knuckheads.
🚀 11U and 9U Baseball have both made massive strides — locking down defense, dramatically minimizing errors, and showing dominance at the plate. The pieces are coming together in a big way. Their time is on the horizon!
🥎🔥 12U Lady Punishers continue to develop their skillset and apply it when it matters most. The bats are HEATING UP and the defense is shutting out opponents one inning at a time. Big things are coming for this group!! Plus… they’re definitely the most stylish roster in the whole program. 💅

While we all buckle up for impacts from Isaias, just know we’re missing our boys and girls in black and red and can’t wait to get back on the fields next week. ❤️🖤
