Navarre CERT Welcome to the official page for CERT - South Santa Rosa (Navarre) Some volunteer to distribute disaster preparedness information.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is a national initiative that trains individuals to be prepared for emergencies in their communities. CERT members are also trained to provide critical support to first responders and their communities during times of disaster. Navarre CERT is a group of volunteers, operating under the Santa Rosa County Citizen Corps, dedicated to preparedness,

response, recovery and mitigation of disasters in Navarre and the surrounding South Santa Rosa County Area. Our members have differing degrees of experience and training in several areas of emergency response. Navarre CERT members assist by using their training to help their families, neighbors and community in times of a disaster. Others volunteer to assist in various ways at community events, such as 5k races and parades. Many of our members have received training in running a Volunteer Reception Center, which the County may open locally after a major disaster.

Our monthly Fourth Wednesday General CERT meeting will be this Wednesday, 1800, at the NAVARRE BEACH Fire Station, 1413 Utility Drive (on the island), meetings usually last about 1 ½ hours but will be finished before 2000. Everyone is welcome whether you have had CERT training or not, guests welcome too.

Attention fellow CERT members! We could use some more help at the 2024-Fenner 100 mile bike race on October 26.

Yes, you read that right...it's a 100 mile bike race! And our Santa Rosa CERT team has been asked to help man first aid stations and provide communications from the first aid stations and race control. We will be starting at 0700 and should be finished by 1600 that day.

Calling all South Santa Rosa CERT members! We have been asked to assist in the Run for the Reef 5k/10k race on Saturday, October 12 out on Navarre Beach. To date, we only have 4 volunteers signed up.

Please consider coming out for about 4 hours of work to ensure the race participants stay safe. We could use at LEAST 6 more people...preferably more.

Need volunteers for traffic direction. Volunteers will need to be onsite by 6:30M on Navarre Beach and expect event to end by 10:00AM.
