McDowell is a ministry of the Episcopal churches in the diocese of Alabama and, since 1947, has welcomed people from all faiths and backgrounds. We are host to McDowell Environmental Center, McDowell Farm School, the Alabama Folk School, Summer Camp on Clear Creek, Bethany Village, and the Conference Center!

Students from Jasper Junior High School recently took learning beyond the classroom with a visit to McDowell Farm School! They had the opportunity to get hands-on with farm life, learning more about where food comes from, sustainability, and the work that goes into caring for the land.
