Foxy Roxy!
This adorable ball of energy is approximately 3 to 5 years old and some sort of Shiba/Retriever mix? She is the sweetest girl you will ever meet! She is the perfect size, about 40 lbs. She would do best with an active family and would benefit from some obedience classes (but don't worry we have the hookups!)
- Housebroken
- Fully Vetted
- Loves Children!
- Good with dogs and cats!
- She does shed (like a husky) and will need regular brushing / occasionally bath and blowout
Adoption fee is $150
If you're interested in Roxy, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.naugatuckanimalcontrol.com

During the recent incident at animal control, I was monitoring the communications. It appeared to be a very dangerous incident.

I heard a radio communication from a female voice stating that, in addition to the electrical issues, the building was flooding. In the following minutes, it was clear there was an urgent need to protect the animals as there was smoke in the building and the real concern about any other part of the building becoming energized or a possible fire breaking out.

Knowing her expertise and care for the animals, I thought this was Brittany or possibly another officer ignoring their own safety and starting to evacuate animals. This seems to be the pattern for the Naugatuck police department. Others before self. Working at high level at all times.

While all of the emergency responders worked together seamlessly and with urgency, I hope the officers that entered the building to ensure the safety of the animals are recognized for their valiant effort and for going, clearly, above and beyond the call of duty. No person or animal was injured. Amazing.

****** To those asking how they can help, please keep an eye on the Animal Naugatuck Animal Control page. They always need dog food, cat food, supplies such as paper towels, blankets, cloth towels, cleaning supplies. A donation bin is outside their facility. 508 Cherry St, Naugatuck.*****

CALLING ALL HUSKY LOVERS!
Man do I have the spunky little man for you!
Oogie Boogs was surrendered due to no fault of his own.
Boogs is about a year or so and a "pocket husky" as he is small compared to most! Maybe only about 40lbs and small in stature.
Boogs would love an active family, some obedience training, and maybe another dog friend or two to play with! (Can play rough and sometimes doesn't know when to stop)
If you're interested in meeting Boogs, please fill out our application. Huskies don't do well in kennels and we want to find him his forever home asap!!
