Montrose West Recreation, Inc. For 46 years the mission of Montrose West Recreation is to assist with and coordinate recreational activities for all citizens of West Montrose County.

We serve the small communities of Paradox, Bedrock, Naturita, Redvale, Nucla & Norwood. MWR is managed and guided by a Board of Directors-currently we are able to have up to eleven people on the Board. We meet the first Monday of every month at the West End Visitors Center (230 W. Main Street, Naturita, CO) at 6:00 pm. Our meetings are always open to the public and we encourage community involvement. We currently employ one Executive Director who oversees and coordinates our programs.

Get ready to dive into an unforgettable week of music, laughter, adventure, and theatre magic! Montrose West Recreation and Missoula Children’s Theatre are bringing THE LITTLE MERMAID to the West End this summer and we want YOU to be part of the cast! 🎭✨

Rehearsals will take place Monday through Friday, with times depending on each actor’s role. Please pack a lunch, as cast members may be needed for both morning and afternoon rehearsals.

Montrose West Recreation is excited to bring back our summer camps for another year of fun in the sun! Huge thank you to our Camp Director, Dana Saxton, and the Just for Kids Foundation for helping make this program possible for our community.
