Our 4th Annual Stronger Together 5K Walk/Run at National Harbor was another incredible success!

372 registered participants. 36 onsite PSA screenings. $3,000 donated to ZERO Prostate Cancer.

We were honored to welcome Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.’s 37th International President, the Honorable Bro. David Turner, receive proclamations and citations from the Prince George’s County Executive and Mayor of Forest Heights, and hear a powerful caregiver testimonial from Ms. Idola Henry-Gunn.

From 75 participants in our first year to 372 today, our impact continues to grow!

Since September 25, 1978, our chapter has carried the principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service into Prince George’s County and the greater Washington, DC community.

Today, we honor the brothers who laid the foundation and everyone who continues to build upon it. Proud of our legacy, grateful for our brotherhood, and committed to the work ahead!

We’re proud to recognize Prince George’s County Councilmember Edward Burroughs III as a Blue Ribbon Sponsor and top donor of our 4th Annual Stronger Together 5K Walk/Run!

Since taking office in 2022, Councilmember Burroughs and his District 8 team have supported residents through hands-on constituent services and targeted community investments. His office launched a Senior Support Fund that has assisted more than 2,000 seniors with housing, utility and property-tax expenses, and this year launched a workforce initiative designed to connect 500 District 8 young people with paid jobs and training.

Representing District 8—including National Harbor, home of our 5K—his support of this event is another investment in the health and well-being of the community he serves.
