Here are other pieces from the TEN show currently at the Morse Institute Library. “Folded Books” are sculptural pieces by paper artist Virginia McEachern. “Books are beautiful. I love the old ones the best, when the paper is yellowed and the pages are thicker than more recently published works. I like the challenge of finding new ways to fold the pages, to make interesting sculptures from these aged novels,” says McEachern.

Here is a piece by one of the artists participating in the TEN show currently at the Morse Institute Library in Natick Center. “The Decameron” - a painting by Paul Pecci - was inspired by “The Decameron,” a collection of tales by Giovanni Boccaccio featuring ten characters. It was written between 1350 and 1351. The number ten is repeated throughout the painting in many languages (just as Boccaccio's tale has been translated in many different languages).

Over a week after the Art Walk people are still mentioning how much they enjoyed the event. Several of the artists and business owners also said the event was a great success. We look forward to next year's event - on Thursday, July 19, 2012 with a rain date of July 26th. See you next year!

Art Walk was spotlighted by The Boston Globe today's edition - in the "G" section. I hope everyone has a great time tonight. Feel free to post any photos you take during tonight's event.

If you are worried about the heat during tomorrow night's event - remember that the artists are hosted by the businesses. So they can be indoors - in air conditioning. Also, by early evening most of the Art Walk area is already in the shade. Don't let the weather forecasters keep you from having a great time!
