One of our rising stars poses with antennas she built as part of NEST's Radio Astronomy & Satellites Workshop. Students built various types of antennas to capture and digitize radio signals from planes, satellites, and astronomical objects. The 18-session workshop was developed and taught by Rye Hogan, a student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Next year we plan to offer this workshop in 3-week modules from September through June.

Come learn how to professionally terminate your own coax cables with Jeremy Breef-Pilz KB1REQ. This is part of the fox hunt antenna kit series, but is also great as a stand alone guide for attaching your own connectors to coaxial cable. Adults and teens welcome.

We are planning to use BNC connectors and RG-58 cable, but sign up early and we may he may be able to accommodate other connector/cable types! Sign up below:
