The holiday season is here, and that means it’s time for one of Natchitoches’ most heartwarming traditions—the M*A*S*H (Make A Smile Happen) Toy Drive! For nearly three decades, this event has brought Christmas joy to thousands of children across Natchitoches Parish. Now celebrating 30 years of giving, the Natchitoches Area Jaycees mission remains the same: no child should wake up on Christmas without a toy.

How You Can Make A Smile Happen

• Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the M*A*S*H tent at Walmart.
• Make a monetary donation.
• Encourage your workplace or organization to give as a group.
• Share the event so the mission reaches every corner of Natchitoches Parish.

The goal? Fill the bins—and hearts—of our community with brand-new toys and donations that will be distributed to families in need. Every toy. Every dollar. Every share. It all adds up to Christmas morning magic for local children. But the success of M*A*S*H depends on you.

In 2024, 442 children were served. We hope to continue ensuring that no child in our community goes without a Christmas present.

Please consider a tax-deductible personal or corporate donation. MASH is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

For families wishing to be a recipient, you can sign up a child at the Family Doctors of Natchitoches (615 Bienville St) between now and close of business on December 12, 2025.

Due to the forecasted weather on Saturday, the 2025 Wiffleball Tournament has been cancelled.

The Natchitoches Area Jaycees and Service League of Natchitoches appreciate everyone's support and understanding. All proceeds were set to benefit the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center Cancer Center and we truly thank the Natchitoches community for their continued generosity and enthusiasm.

We look forward to bringing this event back in the future!

We had an awesome time today at the Special Olympics Red River Games, proudly hosted by Northwestern State University! A huge congratulations to all of the incredible athletes who competed today!

We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of the volunteers, NSU student-athletes, and NSU staff who dedicated their time and effort to making this event such a success. Your hard work and support made a meaningful impact, and we appreciate everything you did to create an unforgettable day for these amazing athletes!
