At our October 7 symposium, you’ll have the chance to learn from others, build professional relationships, and share ideas that help children, families, and those who support them.

No matter your role -social worker, educator, student, community partner, or child welfare professional - there's a place for you at the table.

Meet Mya, a Northwestern State University graduate and former Louisiana Title IV-E Scholar.

Today, Mya serves as a Child Welfare Specialist with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services, where she works every day to help strengthen children and families across our state.

"My internship was a true eye opener in what my day to day life would be as a child welfare specialist. I knew what to expect in regards to challenges faced and the rewarding parts to come. I would recommend this program over and over!"

Stories like Mya remind us that today's scholars become tomorrow's child welfare leaders.
