Meet Infinity, or “Fini” for short! Fini is a beautiful 10 month-old, unaltered female Shepherd/Terrier mix who has already been through far more than any young dog should have.
Fini’s story is complicated, but thankfully, we were able to piece some of it together. She was originally owned by a student who properly cared for her and took her to a local clinic, including getting her rabies vaccination. After graduating, her owner left Louisiana and Fini was passed from one person to another. Eventually, she was surrendered to the shelter after developing diarrhea. Unfortunately, the person who brought her in left hurriedly before completing the surrender paperwork, leaving us with very little information about her history.
Thankfully, Fini’s rabies tag gave us a starting point.
Fini has been treated for giardia, and thankfully, her stool is now solid. She has received a booster vaccination, deworming medication, flea and tick treatment, mange treatment, heartworm preventative, and a soothing medicated bath to help her feel a little better after all the stress she has endured.
Fini is an excited, energetic little girl who wants everyone to know she is there. She loves attention and would very much like to be the center of your world. She already knows how to sit on command and is ready to continue learning and growing with someone who will be patient and committed to her.
At this point in her life, Fini doesn't need another temporary stop. She needs stability, consistency, patience, and a family who is committed to keeping her for good. She has been passed from person to person enough. We are looking for a steady, settled home where Fini can finally know what it means to be loved and wanted.
