Yesterday while I was fishing this gentleman came trolling up to me and asked if I could take his picture with a fish he had just caught. I’ve taken many pictures of folks with big fish but as he pulled this beast out of his livewell I was shocked myself! This fish weighed 13lbs.4oz. on Rapala tournament scales. I got to hear all about the rod, line and lure he was using when he caught it and every little detail of the special catch. When we finished carefully taking his pictures he sat in the seat of his boat and gently released his trophy catch to hopefully be caught by another lucky fisherman some day. I have never caught a bass this big in all my years of fishing and just to see a fish this size and to help him taking photos and watching it swim away was something I thought would be worth sharing. I’m going back to the lake where this big fish was caught this morning and who knows maybe today is my lucky day!
