For everyone in Louisiana, no matter where you are, please take the internet speed test. They are so many areas without cell service much less broadband and we need your help to figure out where they are. Just a couple minutes of your time can make a huge difference in the state. Please share this post to spread the word.

Join us, in person or online, as we discuss the many ways we are building soil fertility with regenerative agriculture practices. We will also share the plan behind our NRCS EQIP practices.

Another great guest speaker! Campti Field of Dreams in partnership with NRCS presents Chris Ebel on Tuesday, December 1st, from 6-8 p.m. CST to talk about livestock! If you have land and are interested in adding animals, but need financial assistance for fencing, water, seeding your pastures, etc. then this is the session for you

Currently the NRCS State Rangeland Specialist in Louisiana, Chris Ebel spent 25 years working on ranches and farms before 15 years joining NRCS as a Rangeland Mgmt Specialist. Ebel has a BS degree in Animal Science from Oklahoma State and a MS degree in Range Science from New Mexico State. Join us for an exciting presentation on the benefits of rotational grazing, livestock nutrient management and several NRCS cost-share programs that can help you help the land. Yes, we are building a high tunnel this Saturday, weather-permitting! Join us to get an idea of what it takes to build your own high tunnel and learn more about the USDA NRCS EQIP cost-share program with a grant of upto $20,000 to build your own high tunnel for season extension. The event will also be broadcast live. This will be raw video of a slow process but we hope to bring you as much of the build as possible. For those that join us at DeLaTerre Permaculture Farm, lunch will be provided. This event is free and open to the public. COVID-19 requirements will be adhered to.
