Yoga 🧘 is being offered at Elite!
Please welcome ……
Cle’lie Cendrine Aubin
My introduction to yoga began in 2002, when I walked into a dimly lit studio in the center of New Iberia City Park. I remember joining the group with butterflies in my stomach and a fluttering heart. I had struggled with anxiety for much of my life, and through yoga, I discovered tools that helped me manage it and develop a greater sense of calm, awareness, and self-connection. I began attending yoga classes periodically, each time experiencing a deeper sense of peace, breath awareness, stillness, and connection to myself. This cycle continued until 2017, when I committed to completing my 200-hour yoga teacher training through Yoga Alliance at Spiral Branch Yoga Studio in Denham Springs, Louisiana.
During that intensive nine-month program, I immersed myself in the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of yoga. I gained a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection, personal patterns, and the transformative potential of a consistent practice.
My training also brought greater awareness to my own physical alignment. During this time, I began experiencing discomfort on the right side of my body and was eventually diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis. Rather than allowing the diagnosis to limit my practice, I used it as an opportunity to deepen my studies and learn how yoga could be adapted to support individual bodies and abilities.
Since then, my personal practice has continued to shape my teaching philosophy. Through consistent asana (postures) and pranayama (breathwork), I have experienced meaningful improvements in my mobility, body awareness, and overall well-being. These experiences have reinforced one of the most important principles I share with my students: Yoga is not about forcing the body into a pose; it is about learning to listen to the body and adapting the practice to meet your individual needs.
I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) and Continuing Education Provider through Yoga Alliance. I began teaching group and private yoga classes in 2018 and, in 2024, began training new 200-hour yoga teachers through my Registered Yoga School.
My teaching is rooted in the belief that yoga should be accessible, adaptable, and deeply personal. I encourage students to approach their practice with curiosity, awareness, and compassion, honoring where they are today rather than striving to meet an ideal.
Our next 200-hour teacher training begins in April 2027.
Sincerely,
