The Memorial Day Parade was cancelled due to weather but we were still honored to cook for the American Legion Massapequa NY Post 1066 and Sunrise Detachment Marine Corps League. 🇺🇸 Thank you for all who served, and sacrificed for our freedom. 🙏❤️

And the weather cleared up for an amazing day. Smoked burgers, dogs, chicken and tri-tip was on the menu.

Volunteers needed!

Please see our updated list of events! We are looking for volunteers for any and all of our events! No experience is needed as we always can use extra hands and can train! We also offer community service hour letters for school, Confirmation, etc! We ask that parents accommodate minors at all events and ages are best suited for 13 and up since we will be around hot BBQs and sharp knives. Typical areas of assistance is setup, food prep, cooking, plating, serving and cleanup.

We had a great time cooking with StillBlue , The Date Chef llc and Long Island Luau with providing meals for the Asian Jade Society's Festival of Colors Holi Party! Smoked brisket, pulled pork, lamb burgers, curry chicken, burgers and dogs were on the menu! Thank you everyone who helped make this an amazing event!

We had an amazing time cooking at the Special Olympics New York Long Island Games this weekend! We also ran a game in Olympic Village of throwing rubber chickens at cans of SPAM to knock them off our Weber Grills! The game was a hit for kids, athletes and parents! Winner of our raffle to be announced soon!

The event was amazing with thousands of people attending to cheer on the athletes and enjoy the festivities! It was great meeting and talking with the Connor Kasin Memorial Foundation and Special Sweets supporters as well!

Thank you Massapequa Public Schools for hosting the event! Thank you to Inter-County Bakers, Inc. and Sabrett for providing the food for the event! It's always amazing to have such wonderful companies and volunteers standing up to help make these community events happen!

If you're heading to the NY Special Olympics in Massapequa at Berner Middle School tomorrow, come check out our tent in the Olympic Village and say hello! We have games, prizes and raffles!

The NY BBQ Brigade is a 100% Volunteer nonprofit charity that provides free meals and events to people in need, veterans, women dealing with breast cancer and other community events!

Not only are we volunteering and providing an activity booth and prizes, but were also providing food to all the volunteers!
