Comes through Nashwauk

Approximately 300 bicyclists will be coming through Nashwauk on Friday,
August 10, 2018 between 8:30 – 10 AM.

Would you like to do a fund-raising rest stop in Nashwauk?

The rest stop might include baked goods, caramel rolls, cookies, honey sticks, lemonade or whatever might interest bicyclists on their way from Chisholm to Grand Rapids. Ideally items would be available for individual purchase and more interesting than granola or power bars from the grocery store.

Prior tours rest stops have been under a covered pavilion or other public facility along the route.

Since 2006, Bicycling Around Minnesota (BAM) has been offering a four-day bicycle ride covering 65 to 75 miles per day, with overnight stays in four host cities. The 2018 loop starts in Hoyt Lakes, then Chisholm, Grand Rapids, Hibbing and back to Hoyt Lakes. https://bambiketour.org/bam-2018-tour/

Come visit us at the Nashwauk Home Show! We're having a raffle for a $100 gas card, wildlife quilt, art print and salad bowls stuffed with good things. It's 5 to 8 on Friday and 10 to 4 on Saturday at the Nashwauk Rec Center.

Calendula flowers are an oft underlooked wintertime ally. The flowers can be added to soup stocks and teas to support the immune system and keep the lymphatic system flowing. Calendula was a staple for the soup pot in Medieval Europe--so much so, that the dried flowers were sold on the streets in barrels!
