When someone tells you a taxpayer-subsidized stadium is going to transform the local economy, remember this:

We’ve had more than 30 years of research on this.

The economic case just isn’t there.

Sign the petition and help stop Nashvilles next economic disaster.

$17 million in state tax bonds, $17 million in NCVC (also taxes) are being requested at a minimum. Freddie always knows first somehow and then does very little to stop it. Huh.

In 2011, a charter amendment locked Nashville into funding racing at the Fairgrounds. Today, out of state NASCAR developers are trying to use that to force a tax-funded stadium expansion.

We’re saying no to another publicly funded stadium deal that privatizes the profits. We say it’s time to invest in affordable housing instead of billionaires. We’re gathering signatures to get this on the ballot so that YOU get the power to decide what happens to our public land.

If you’re a registered voter in Davidson County and believe in a Nashville for everyone, find our green shirts and sign the petition. Let’s shape the city together.

Public land belongs to people. People should have a say on how its used and what gets built.

There is a 22 tract in the center of the city — Nashville speedway. This racetrack needs more than $40 million in renovations just to bring it up to code.

Local law says this site has to be a speedway. It can’t be anything else. But people have the power to change the law. Restore our Fairgrounds has launched a petition to empower the people.

Should Nashville use public land and public tax dollars for a speedway or should it be a public park and truly affordable housing?

Voters SHOULD decide. But voters only get a say if 40,000 Davidson County voters sign the Restore Our Fairgrounds petition. The petition triggers a referendum and allows Nashvillians to vote to keep the speedway or remove the racetrack and allow for a public park and affordable housing.

Without the signatures, we don’t have a say.

That’s exactly what out of state NASCAR billionaire Marcus Smith wants…to silence voters. He is funding a group called Decline to Sign. You’ve seen their ads. They’ve spent an absurd amount of money on digital and tv ads.

They don’t want people to have a say because they are trying to secure a Titans stadium style deal for NASCAR. He and his cronies have hired the same lobbyists and PR firm who helped the football team fleece our city into the largest tax payer funded stadium in the country. They’re saying signing the petition destroys the speedway. Signing simply allows Nashvillians to vote on the issue next year.

Whether you support a speedway or prefer the land be used for a public park and be used for affordable housing, we all deserve a say. Sign the petition so our city can have a say

Nashville locals… you deserve a say in your public lands and your tax dollars. Sign the petition and allow everyone in Davidson County to vote on how we should spend our taxes and what we should use our public lands for.

🚨BREAKING NEWS: A Davidson County judge has issued temporary orders of protection against a Nashville public-affairs operative accused of stalking and harassing Citizens Against Racetrack (CARE) petition canvassers.

Kevin Wisniewski, an employee of Calvert Street Group, a public-affairs firm that has worked on behalf of NASCAR at the Fairgrounds, has allegedly been following, confronting and harassing CARE’s paid canvassers over the past 60 days.

A Davidson County judge issued immediate temporary orders of protection against Wisniewski on Wednesday.

In issuing the orders, the judge found that CARE’s canvassers face an “immediate and present danger of abuse” by Wisniewski.

CARE’s canvassers are seeking signatures to add affordable housing and public greenspace at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and remove the racetrack.

The petition gives people the power to determine the future use of the public property.
