Counselors Helping Communities was formed through 10 friends serving the community. It started with one act of love by one individual attempting to provide 10 cases of bottled water for Nashville's homeless population. Eventually, nine others signed on
to help and 10 cases grew to 400! It did not stop there, as they answered a call for a need of school supplies and Thanksgiving dinners. Many were witness to the unconditional positive regard this group of friends expressed, and asked how they could volunteer to help. Thus, Counselors Helping Communities was formed. This is a testament of how God works. When you are genuine in your effort of spreading love and kindness, situations are created for you to continue your work. We did not start as an "organized group", however our efforts grew into an amazing set of circumstances that will allow us to continue using our gifts to serve others.
