This summer, we had the honor of participating in Be The People Fest!

A festival dedicated to showcasing local problem-solvers, Be The People shines a spotlight on the leaders, helpers, and changemakers working to strengthen our communities and inspire others to get involved.

At the festival, we shared our Pledge to Listen with thousands of Nashvillians and asked, “What does community mean to you?” Take a swipe to see what some of our neighbors had to say!

We’re incredibly grateful to Be The People for extending the invitation and creating space for conversations that remind us what is possible when we come together. Your work is necessary in a world where division can feel overwhelming.

Looking for a moment to connect with your neighbors?

Join us tomorrow, June 11 at 6:00 PM at the Bordeaux Public Library for Humans Over Hate, the next conversation in our Beyond the Divide series.

As we continue exploring how to strengthen human connection in an increasingly digital world, we’ll come together to discuss how our communities can confront hate, foster understanding, and respond to hate-related incidents, including the recent tragic killings at the Islamic Center of San Diego.

Presented in partnership with Nashville’s Metro Human Relations Commission, the American Muslim Advisory Council, Humanities Tennessee, and the Nashville Public Library.

Tennessee has been making a lot of headlines and this headline here is about joy, hope, and building a better future that works for us all! We know the best way to democracy is to rebuild our washed up roads and that starts with us- the people.

This Helper’s Tent is happening at the Littell Partin Community Center: 14399 US Hwy 41, Tracy City.
