HCA Healthcare Hope Fund As HCA Healthcare employees, it is our priority to take care of patients as well as each other. The Hope Fund is all about helping our HCA Healthcare family.

As HCA Healthcare employees, it is our top priority to take excellent care of our patients. But we also take care of each other. In 2004 this was more evident than ever as hundreds of our colleagues were affected by the Florida hurricanes. Immediately following the storms HCA Healthcare employees throughout the United States wanted to know how they could help. Contributions came in and were disbur

sed out to HCA Healthcare families that had been impacted. To these families, the contributions from their fellow employees represented much more than financial relief, they represented hope that life might soon return to normal. Our colleagues are not just co-workers, they are our family and we have always rallied around one another when devastation strikes. So what started as a very informal way to help one another soon evolved to a formal non-profit organization, the HCA Hope Fund. Our fund is supported by employees allowing us to do what we do best, take care of others.

We are incredibly proud of the resilience and compassion our HCA Healthcare colleagues have demonstrated as we face the impact of Hurricane , while continuing to recover from Hurricane , across our communities. Across HCA Healthcare, compassion goes beyond patient care – it extends to caring for each other during difficult times.

The HCA Healthcare Hope Fund ensures our colleagues do not have to face challenges alone. The Hope Fund is a 501(c)(3) charity run by colleagues, for colleagues. Those who give to the Hope Fund are supporting colleagues and their families who face financial hardship due to natural disaster, illness or injury, domestic violence, death of a loved one or other unexpected situations.

On Thursday, Hurricane made landfall in Florida as a Category 4 hurricane. This storm made a significant impact on HCA Healthcare colleagues, their families and communities across Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas, especially in Asheville and the surrounding areas. Through the unpredictable nature of this storm, our colleagues stood ready to serve our patients, communities and each other.
