A book we really believe in is making its way out into the world T O D A Y ! “Capable” from is a vital message for families in 2026. So much of what we do in our counseling offices at Daystar is reminding kids, teenagers AND parents that they are CAPABLE of facing whatever comes their way. And that they don’t have to do it alone. And neither do you! Especially now that you can get a copy of this book in your hands. We hope it feels like you’re getting to cozy up in our office and hear the encouraging voices of David and Sissy cheering you on as you read their words. Don’t miss them tomorrow on & !

If you are new to Daystar and have never been to our “house”, we welcome you and hope you’ll experience the warmth and care that is the “little yellow house” that is becoming quite large.

If you are not new to Daystar, please stay and read because this is also for you.

We are grateful for your patience as we make progress on our addition. We acknowledge that parking isn’t always easy, so thank you. Starting this next week, March 9, and the weeks to follow, construction crews will be working on our sidewalks, driveway, and parking lot.

For a few weeks there will not be a separate entrance and exit. They will be one and the same. Only one way in and out. There will be cars needing to enter and exit the lot at the same time. Please be patient and watch out for each other.

If there aren’t parking spaces in our lot, there will be spots at the park on Azalea Place.

Once again, we are grateful for you and for your patience during this time of growth.

The last line of Psalm 23:6 is “I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever” or as Eugene Peterson puts it in the Message, “I’m back home in the house of God for the rest of my life”.

I think Psalm 23:6 is one of the most tender, reassuring lines in scripture. SURELY is a word of confidence, not wishful thinking. David isn’t saying “ maybe” or “ I hope.”
He’s saying; you can count on this.

“Follow” means pursue or chase after. So God’s goodness, His kindness, His care in real daily ways and His mercy (which is His steadfast, loyal love) is actively coming after us! Not just trailing behind us…

“All the days of my life…” are the joyful days, the anxious days, the ordinary, quiet days, and the days that feel heavy or confusing.

“And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Or “I’m back home in the house of God for the rest of my life.” …It’s a picture of belonging. Oh, how we all want to belong.
This is for the present, being aware of his presence now. And for the future: a forever home with Him - secure, unshakable.

Some of you have been on spring break and you have remarked, “Oh I wish we could stay here forever” but then when you arrived home, you thought, you felt, you said with a sigh, “Oh it’s good to be home.”

We enjoy our vacations, but our real joy comes from being back home… our secure, unshakable home in the house of God.

Breathe in: “Your goodness is chasing me.”
Breathe out: “I am at home with You.”
