Dear Friends,
As we reflect on the past few months, our hearts are filled with gratitude. This season has brought moments of incredible joy, answered prayer, and heartbreaking loss. Through it all, we have seen God's faithfulness in countless ways.
Because of your prayers, generosity, and unwavering support, the children at Home on a Hill continue to experience something every child deserves—a safe place to grow, caring relationships, nutritious meals, medical care, and the opportunity to simply be children. Thank you for walking alongside us and making this ministry possible.
Prayer Requests
As you read this update, we invite you to join us in praying for:
* Loving forever families for the children who are still waiting to be adopted.
* Wisdom and discernment for our leadership and caregivers as Home on a Hill continues to grow.
* Good health, protection, and joy for every child and staff member.
* God's continued provision for the resources needed to care for vulnerable children throughout Malawi.
A Remarkable Recovery
One of our greatest praises this quarter has been watching one of our children make an incredible recovery after a successful surgery.
After months of waiting, the procedure went beautifully, and the weeks that followed were filled with healing, perseverance, and answered prayers. Little by little, strength returned. Today, that child is walking with increasing confidence and freedom—a milestone that once seemed so far away.
Watching this transformation unfold has been an incredible reminder that God is always at work, even in the waiting. Thank you for praying with us and celebrating this beautiful victory.
A Season of Both Joy and Sorrow
This quarter also brought deep sadness as one of the children entrusted to our care passed away after a serious illness.
There are no words that can fully express the heartbreak of losing a child. Our staff and children grieved together, leaning on one another and on the Lord during this difficult season.
While our hearts continue to mourn, we find peace in knowing this precious little one is completely healed in the presence of Jesus. We are so thankful for your prayers, encouragement, and love as our Home on a Hill family walked through this loss together.
Children Finding Families
One of the greatest joys at Home on a Hill is seeing children leave our care to begin life with loving families.
This quarter, we celebrated multiple children being placed with foster families who are prayerfully pursuing adoption. Every placement is a beautiful reminder of why Home on a Hill exists—not simply to provide temporary care, but to help children experience the love, stability, and belonging of a family.
While we always miss the little faces we've grown to love, there is no greater joy than watching a child take the next step toward a forever family.
Please continue praying for these children, their foster families, and for the many little ones who are still waiting for loving homes.
Everyday Moments Matter
Not every milestone makes headlines, but some of the most meaningful moments happen in the ordinary rhythms of daily life.
Each day is filled with laughter, learning, playtime, bedtime stories, hugs, scraped knees, shared meals, and countless opportunities for our children to experience consistency, love, and belonging.
For children who have experienced trauma, these simple moments help rebuild trust and create the foundation for healthy futures. Your faithful support makes every one of these moments possible.
