We are saddened to learn of the passing of the iconic Queen of Appalachia, Lady of the Holler, Mother of Butterflies, Saint of Tennessee, Dolly Parton.

Dolly's legacy is one of compassion. Among the many philanthropic projects that she supported, Dolly was a dedicated animal advocate for wildlife conservation and companion animal welfare. She will be deeply missed.

Rest in peace, Dolly 🦋

🐝 The honey bee is not native to North America & they're killing native bees.

There are over 4,000 species of bees native to North America who pollinate 80% of flowering plants & 75% of food crops. Native bees are better pollinators.

Honeybees outcompete native bees for pollen & spread disease to wild populations. They are considered livestock for food production.

Help our native bees. Leave dead leaves, stems & wood for bees to overwinter. Plant native pollinator friendly flowers & stop pesticide use.

🐈🐕 Please join us for a volunteer day at Crossroads Cat Cafe's animal care center. We will be cleaning and helping with chores around the facility, as well as learning about their adoption program.

A vegan lunch will be provided. Feel free to bring a yummy vegan creation of your own for everyone to enjoy.

Just a few weeks ago they rescinded the definition of harm to make it easier to exploit the environment and further endanger the species who need the most protections.
