Indiana Raptor Center is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured or orphaned birds of prey. InRC is fully permitted by USFW and Indiana DNR for rehabilitation, education, eagle display, and falconry. If you find an injured or orphaned bird of prey, call us at 812-988-8990. We educate the public about the natural history of Indiana's raptor
species, their ecology, and conservation by providing live birds of prey presentations at schools, libraries, civic organizations, scouting groups, churches, state parks, private events, and more. Contact us for details regarding programming possibilities! Our facility is open by appointment only! We advise to try calling two weeks ahead, if possible, as that affords a better chance of booking on your desired date. Funding is provided by private donation, fundraising events, grants, and other nonprofit groups. We receive no funds from government agencies. InRC admits between 150 and 225 birds of prey per year, and covers six Indiana counties. Calls regarding injured birds come in through citizens, the IDNR, sheriff’s and police offices, veterinarians, parks departments and falconers.
