Our first Family Literacy Workshop is officially in the books!📚✨

Girls and their trusted adults spent yesterday afternoon building bookcases that will become the start of family libraries at home! Once the bookcases were ready, each girl got to choose 15 books to take home and start filling her shelves. Families also received reading logs to encourage reading at home, and we worked together on breaking down the different parts of a story during our literacy activity.

A big thank you to DPR Construction for purchasing the bookcases and helping us make family libraries possible for our Girls Inc. families!

Our girls’ favorite Girls Inc. Summer Camp memories made it to the front page of The Contributor! Earlier this summer, The Contributor joined us for a special activity where our girls drew their favorite moments from camp. Their artwork was brought together into one beautiful collage, and now it’s featured on the front page!

We couldn’t be prouder to see our girls’ creativity, voices, and memories celebrated throughout our community. Thank you, The Contributor, for helping our girls’ stories take center stage!

One year down, and we’re just getting started✨

Today we celebrated the first anniversary of the Girls Inc. Alum Collective at our Collective Kickback! It was an afternoon filled with great food, games, crafts, laughter, and meaningful conversations as we reflected on the past year and looked ahead to what’s next.

Our Girls Inc. mission is to inspire girls to be strong, smart, and bold. Through the Alum Collective, we’re proud to continue that journey, helping our alumnae become stronger, smarter, and bolder as they navigate college, careers, and young adulthood.

A heartfelt thank you to Girls Inc. Advisory Council member and mentor Debby Jackson for graciously hosting us today. Here’s to another year of connection, mentorship, and empowering our incredible alumnae!

What a way to close out Girls Inc. Summer Camp! We celebrated an incredible three weeks with BOLD Fest, an afternoon full of fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories! 💖

This summer, we were proud to serve a record breaking 106 girls, each one growing stronger, smarter, and bolder through new experiences, meaningful friendships, and opportunities to discover their strengths.

A special congratulations to our campers graduating from Girls Inc. Summer Camp this year! Watching you grow over the years has been a privilege, and while this may be your final summer as a camper, we hope to see many of you return as future Counselors in Training.

Thank you to Margaret Allen Middle School for once again being the home of Girls Inc. Summer Camp! Your partnership helped make another incredible summer possible.

As we wrap up an unforgettable summer, we’re already looking ahead to another exciting year of school based programming and family engagement events. Stay tuned because there’s so much more to come!

Our girls had a special opportunity to learn about an often overlooked part of supporting survivors thanks to Abbie’s Safe Home! Joy, Pet Shelter Director at Abbie’s Safe Home, visited camp to share how pets are cared for when families come to stay at the YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee (nonprofit) Weaver Domestic Violence Shelter. The girls learned why keeping pets safe is such an important part of helping survivors on their journey to healing.

To put their compassion into action, our campers created handmade dog toys for the pups staying at the shelter. We are grateful to Abbie’s Safe Home for helping our girls better understand the many ways we can support survivors and for inspiring them to give back in such a meaningful way. 💜🐾

We were so grateful to welcome the Scarlett Family Foundation to Girls Inc. Summer Camp today! Thank you for taking the time to tour camp, meet our girls, and see our mission in action.

The Scarlett Family Foundation’s support helps make our Youth Services programs possible, creating opportunities for girls to grow strong, smart, and bold. We are incredibly thankful for your partnership and investment in the next generation! 💖

A huge thank you to the incredible women of the Tennessee Titans for spending the day with our campers! The girls learned about the many career opportunities in professional sports, from marketing and community relations to partnerships and beyond, while hearing firsthand what it’s like to work in the sports industry.

A special congratulations to Makalyn, recently crowned Miss Tennessee, for sharing her story and encouraging our girls to pursue their goals with confidence. Thank you to the Tennessee Titans Community for inspiring the next generation to be strong, smart, and bold! 💙🏈👑
