We are looking for a Youth Services Specialist to join our Girls Inc. team! This role leads Girls Inc. programming in schools, facilitates camps and workshops, supports family engagement events, and creates meaningful experiences that help girls build confidence, leadership skills, and belonging.

We’re looking for someone who is creative, organized, collaborative, and passionate about youth development. Help us inspire girls to be strong, smart, and bold!

Happy International Day of the Girl! Today is a celebration of girls everywhere and the unique voices, ideas, and perspectives they bring to the world. Girls are leaders, creators, problem-solvers, advocates, and so much more. They have the power to influence their communities, challenge what’s possible, and create change.

We’re proud to support girls as they grow strong, smart, and bold and remind them that they have the power to shape their own futures and make an impact in the world around them. Here’s to girls today, tomorrow, and every day!

What an incredible day for Girls Inc.!✨

A HUGE thank you to DPR Construction for hosting an amazing co****le tournament and raising $42,000 for Girls Inc. at YWCA Nashville! With 60 teams competing, the event brought our community together for a cause that makes a real difference in the lives of girls. One of the most special moments of the day was hearing from two of our very own Girls Inc. participants, Lala and Peyton, who shared what Girls Inc. means to them and how the program has impacted their lives. We are so proud of these girls for sharing their stories!

Thank you to DPR Construction, all 60 teams, and everyone who came out to support our strong, smart, and bold girls. Your generosity helps us continue creating opportunities for girls to grow, lead, and thrive!

We were also excited to welcome NC5, who joined us to cover this incredible event!

We strive to create safe and brave spaces where girls can build confidence, use their voices, advocate for themselves, and develop the skills they need to navigate the world with strength. That’s a wrap on Girls Inc. Aspire 2026!✨

Shay, Doe, and Latrina spent the week learning new tools, connecting with colleagues across the network, and gathering resources to bring back to the team! They are heading home resourced, inspired, and ready to grow, with new knowledge and tools to share with the team and put into practice as they continue supporting girls!

Our 3rd Annual Period Playbook Workshop was a huge success!✨

30 girls and their trusted adults came together to learn about menstruation, health, and hygiene, explore different period products, and create personalized Period Playbooks. With doctors from Vanderbilt Health and Meharry Medical College, the girls got answers to their period questions while the adults learned more about supporting their girls and caring for themselves through perimenopause and menopause.

A big thank you to Cummins Inc. for supporting the girls’ period kits, filled with goodies to support them throughout their periods. The women also received goodie bags to take home as a reminder that their health and well-being matter, too. Thank you to our medical partners, trusted adults, and everyone who helped make this year’s Period Playbook Workshop possible! 💕

We’re kicking off a new school year of Girls Inc.! 💗 Meet our three Girls Inc. Ambassadors and Teen Advocacy Council leaders for John Overton High School: Regina, Nashlly, and Keira.

All three are juniors and entering their third year with Girls Inc., and we asked them why they want to be a part of the Girls Inc. sisterhood:

💬 Regina: “My favorite part of Girls Inc. is being a part of a community that is all about girlhood and being able to share each of our experiences as girls.”

💬 Nashlly: “The community and the ability to meet people with the same interests and values and come together as one.”

💬 Keira: “Being a part of a safe and supportive community while also being able to learn new things and grow with others around you.”

This year, they’re stepping into leadership and helping guide weekly group sessions and the Teen Advocacy Council as they continue building community, exploring issues that impact young women, and creating space for girls to share their perspectives. We’re excited to see what Regina, Nashlly, and Keira bring to year three! ✨

Meet the newest members of our Girls Inc. team! 💗

First up is Robyn, our new Youth Services Specialist! Robyn brings a background rooted in youth development, education, service, and community engagement. She’s especially excited to join a team committed to leading with love, creating impact, and supporting the health and well-being of the girls and communities we serve.

And we’re excited to welcome our two Girls Inc. interns, Paise and Ashley!

✨Paise is a Bachelor of Social Work student at Belmont University | Nashville, TN 🎵. Fun fact: she was born and raised right here in Nashville!

✨Ashley is pursuing her Master of Social Work at UT Knoxville. Fun fact: she previously worked in the costume department of a Nashville TV show!

We’re so excited to have Robyn, Paise, and Ashley on the team and can’t wait to see all they bring to Girls Inc. this school year!

From learning to read to reading to learn! 📚✨

Doe traveled to Indianapolis this week for training on a new Girls Inc. literacy curriculum alongside participants from Girls Inc. affiliates across the network. She explored foundational literacy skills, nonfiction reading, and book club strategies while learning how to bring the curriculum to life with girls in our community.

We’re incredibly proud of Doe and grateful for the expertise she brings back to our Girls Inc. team and the girls we serve!

Our first Family Literacy Workshop is officially in the books!📚✨

Girls and their trusted adults spent yesterday afternoon building bookcases that will become the start of family libraries at home! Once the bookcases were ready, each girl got to choose 15 books to take home and start filling her shelves. Families also received reading logs to encourage reading at home, and we worked together on breaking down the different parts of a story during our literacy activity.

A big thank you to DPR Construction for purchasing the bookcases and helping us make family libraries possible for our Girls Inc. families!
