We may be in summer mode, but we’re still celebrating some end of the school year wins! 🎉

At Una Elementary’s Community in Schools awards celebration, students were recognized for improving their attendance, participating in small groups, and making positive strides throughout the school year.

A few of our Girls Inc. girls also received special recognition for being standout participants in the program! It’s always great to see hard work, consistency, and growth get the recognition they deserve. 💕

After hearing Bailey and Bayona share their journeys at the Spring Breakfast, longtime YWCA community volunteer Joey Hatch and Girls Inc. Advisory Council member Cynthia Whitfield-Story were inspired to invest in their futures!

Joey has generously committed to providing each young woman with a scholarship throughout their four years of college, helping support their educational goals every step of the way. Cynthia has also graciously offered to purchase laptops for both graduates, helping ensure they have the tools they need as they begin this exciting new chapter.

Bailey and Bayona’s stories are a powerful reminder of what happens when strong, smart, and bold young women are given opportunities to thrive. We are deeply grateful to Joey and Cynthia for believing in these graduates and for demonstrating the incredible impact of a community that shows up for our girls!

Congratulations, Bailey and Bayona! We can’t wait to see all that comes next!

A huge thank you to the incredible teams at , , and for partnering with us this school year! Through Train the Trainer, our team equips school counselors and staff to lead Girls Inc. programming within their schools, helping us reach even more girls with experiences that build confidence, leadership, and connection. We are so grateful for partners who believe in creating spaces where girls can continue growing into strong, smart, and bold leaders every day! 💕

On Monday, members of the Girls Inc. Alum Collective and their mentors joined us for our Career and Confidence Workshop focused on professional growth and stepping confidently into the workforce✨

During the event, alum received professional styling from , updated their resumes, learned about LinkedIn, practiced interview skills, and received professional headshots to support their career journey. Mentors attended alongside alum to encourage and support them throughout the experience and also sponsored career totes filled with job essentials to help set them up for success!

We are proud to continue creating spaces where our alum can build confidence, strengthen connections, and access tools that support their future goals!

Last week, Doe had the opportunity to join other affiliates and attend a literacy training with HQ focused on 4th and 5th grade literacy!

They learned how to train other facilitators on the new literacy curriculum, strengthened their understanding of literacy foundations like phonics and blends, and practiced modeling engaging activities from the new curriculum. Right now, only about 31% of U.S. 4th graders are considered proficient in reading. That is why investing in literacy support and engaging learning experiences matters so much.

We are excited to bring these new tools and strategies back to our girls to help build confidence, strengthen reading skills, and make learning fun!

✨Student of the Month: Madisyn✨

We are so excited to highlight Madisyn, a 3rd grader at Andrew Jackson Elementary School! Three words to describe her are kind, brilliant, and uplifting. She is always encouraging her Girls Inc sisters and brings a positive attitude to group every single week.

Madisyn’s enthusiasm is contagious, and the joy she brings to club makes such a positive impact on those around her. She continues to show what it means to be strong, smart, and bold. We are so happy to have you in our group, Madisyn! 💕
