GROW expands the conversation around sustainability through hands-on urban land stewardship, ecological restoration, and community education at Two Rivers Park, creating spaces where nature thrives and people reconnect with the land and each other. GROW is a 501c3 nonprofit organization engaged in community development around the areas of nature education, conservation, and sustainable urban agric

ultural practices. We host a variety of workshops and free public educational events at our site during the growing season (April - October) and also have mobile enrichment programs that we take into public schools. Our goal is to be a place that brings people together and inspires them to rethink urban land usage in their own backyards, alleyways, courtyards, school yards, or otherwise.

We’re just going to say it…

Oops. We totally missed the mark on timing.

When we planned the GROW Together 5K, we didn’t fully account for everything happening this time of year. Between Mother’s Day, prom, graduations, and all the end-of-school events, we know calendars are FULL.

And the last thing we want is for this event to feel like one more thing on your to-do list.

So we made a change.

Come join us in the gardens tonight for our weekly volunteer program, ! Tonight we'll be offering our volunteers the opportunity to dig their own baby plum trees and seedlings of our state wildflower, the passionflower, from the garden to take home with them! If you didn't know, not only is passionflower a beautiful ornamental flowering vine that supports pollinators but it's also herbal medicine with a variety of uses (including aleiviating depression!) We will be working in the gardens from 5:30 till sunset tonight, drop in and 🌱🌎✨

So… you helped us raise the funds to rebuild the nature playground at GROW… but now what?

Behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work bringing this project to life.

We’re so excited to share that we’ve partnered with Nashville Foodscapes to design the new nature playground using more durable, long-lasting materials… which means this space will serve our community for years to come.

We’ve already received preliminary designs and submitted them to the Parks Department for approval.

We are officially one step closer to construction day.

Race mornings start early, and there’s nothing better than a fresh cup of delicious coffee to get everyone warmed up and ready to hit the greenway. Thanks to Madtown Coffee, our runners, walkers, volunteers, and community will be ready to go.
