Father’s Day Month continues with a spotlight on MENtors.

Right now, boys on the waitlist are experiencing an average wait time of 153 days before being matched with a Big Brother. That is five months of hoping for a consistent role model, encouragement, and someone to share meaningful moments with.

For many boys, a mentor provides steady support through simple experiences. A conversation. A shared interest. A chance to try something new. These moments can shape confidence and direction in powerful ways.

This month highlights the impact men can make by stepping into mentorship and shortening that wait.

If becoming a Big has been on your mind, this is the moment.
Each new mentor helps reduce the time boys spend waiting for someone in their corner.

Father’s Day Month continues with a focus on MENtors.

Right now, 70 percent of the youth on the waitlist are boys. That number represents boys who are eager for guidance, connection, and a consistent role model who shows up with encouragement and support.

Many boys are waiting for someone who can share everyday moments. A conversation. A hobby. A workout. A chance to try something new. These simple experiences can shape confidence and direction in a meaningful way.

This month highlights the impact men can make by stepping into mentorship.

If becoming a Big has been on your mind, this is the moment.
A large majority of the youth waiting are boys who would benefit from a positive male role model.

Summer is here and Site‑Based and E‑Mentoring matches are celebrating another year of growth and connection.

Many Littles shared reflections during Big Grad, including:
“If you are thinking about getting a Big, you should do it. You'll like it, definitely.”
and
“This program has taught me so much about myself, and encouraged me to commit to what I want to achieve.”

Those voices capture the heart of this program. Graduation marks the end of one chapter and the start of summer momentum that leads into a strong new school year.

This season highlights the incredible partners who make consistent mentoring possible across Middle Tennessee through the site-based and e-mentoring programs.

Each location is preparing for a new wave of students who are excited for connection, encouragement, and steady support.

Anyone interested in stepping into mentorship can explore becoming a Big and summer is the perfect time to get ready for the upcoming school year.

June is Father’s Day Month and the focus is on MENtors.

Right now, 117 boys across Middle Tennessee are waiting for a Big Brother. That is 117 boys hoping for someone to show up, cheer them on, and remind them they have what it takes.

For many boys, having a consistent male role model is not about perfection. It is about presence. A conversation. A shared hobby. A walk, a workout, a game of catch. Small moments that build confidence and connection.

This month highlights the men who step up and invites more to join them.

If becoming a Big has ever crossed your mind, this is the moment. 117 boys are waiting for someone like you.

Happy Global Running Day! 🏃‍♀️💚

Running is all about consistency, commitment, and showing up. These are the same qualities that make an incredible Big Brother or Big Sister.

Just like training for a run, mentorship grows one step at a time. A weekly check‑in. A shared goal. A moment of encouragement that keeps a young person moving forward.

If you’re lacing up today, consider taking one more meaningful step: exploring becoming a Big. A little time can make a big impact in a young person’s life.

Blue Raiders Launch Community Impact Ticket Program!

Middle Tennessee State University is investing back into the community in a big way with the launch of the Community Impact Ticket Program, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee is honored to be one of the featured nonprofit partners.

This new initiative allows fans and supporters to purchase football season tickets that are then donated directly to local youth‑serving organizations, giving young people and families the chance to experience the excitement of Blue Raider football at Floyd Stadium.

For BBBSMT Littles, matches, and families, this means:
- More opportunities to build connection
- Shared experiences that strengthen mentoring relationships
- Access to a major community event many youth might not otherwise get to attend

It’s a powerful example of how sports, community, and mentorship can come together to create meaningful impact.
