Good morning Bit and Bridle Families!

I have decided to go ahead and postpone the Bit and Bridle Club Show for 2026 with the exclusion of the showmanship class. The grounds are still too boggy and now, covered with grass.

We will still have the showmanship portion of the show on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 4:00pm so that we have a representative for Round Robin.

I do not have a new show date picked out yet, but I will get that set up today or tomorrow and let everyone know.

Thank you for being patient with us as we try to make sure that all of our kids have the best opportunity for success!

Hello everyone! Please read the following post for important information on show day, May 30, 2026.

Unfortunately, it looks like there are many rainy days ahead of us still. In regard to that, if the arena is too muddy or it is still raining on show day, we will only complete the showmanship portion of the day. The rest of the classes will be postponed to another weekend after the main 4-H fair. This ensures that our Showmanship Champion will still be able to compete in the Round Robin Competition during fair. I will make a final decision by Saturday morning, the day of the show.

Good morning!

May riding meetings are beggining!

Unfortunately, this week is looking very rainy. If the rain holds off we will plan for Tuesday, May 4 at 6:00pm for our first riding meeting. If that does not work out, Thursday, May 6 at 6:00pm will be our next.

From now until show date, Tuesdays and Thursdays will be open ride meeting dates. Feel free to come to as many or as few as you like! We can’t wait to see our riders and our favorite ponies!

The meeting for this evening will be at 6:00 pm in the Extension office community room.

Open arena riding will begin in May! Please remember that all vaccinations must be completed and documented before horses can be on the grounds for practices.

NEW INFORMATION FOR FEBRUARY MEETING -

Welcome back, everyone!

We will be having our FIRST meeting for 2026 on Tuesday, February 17, at 6:00pm.

Guest speaker Tereasa with IU will be giving a demonstration on helmet safety! We encourage all club members AND parents to come to this meeting + 1 lucky club member will win a FREE Troxel brand helmet!

We hope to see everyone back in the saddle soon!
