Hope Station, Inc. provides a vital bridge for single, working mothers who often find themselves ineligible for government aid despite facing economic insecurity.

Under the leadership of Executive Director, Quintina Waller, the organization serves families across Davidson and Rutherford Counties by providing essential financial assistance and holistic mental health support.

We are proud to partner with Hope Station in our Resilient Families portfolio. As Quintina shared, this collaboration is built on a shared understanding of the unique challenges nonprofit leaders face in providing consistent, empathetic care.

In 2025, The Healing Trust dedicated $1,815,000 to fostering resilience in children and caregivers throughout our region.

This strategic priority, known as Resilient Families, focuses on young people from birth through age 25. By investing in organizations that prioritize mental health, abuse prevention, and justice systems, we aim to create more equitable environments where every family can find the support they need.

We believe that when we strengthen the foundation of the family, we strengthen the foundation of the entire community.

It is vital to recognize the work of our partner, the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center, as they provide insight into Tennessee's new Savanna’s Law. Effective January 1, this law creates the nation’s first public registry for persistent domestic violence offenders to help track high-risk individuals.

Executive Director Ericka Downing emphasizes that while the registry is a new tool for awareness, it does not guarantee safety and should never be used to place responsibility on survivors. Based in Murfreesboro, the center offers a 31-bed emergency shelter, legal assistance, and counseling to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking, regardless of their county of residence.

Throughout April, we are diving into our 2025 Annual Report to celebrate the incredible grit of our partners who show up every day for Middle Tennessee.

In 2025, we deepened this commitment to regional well-being by awarding $5,130,850 to 175 organizations. Grounded in a trust-based philanthropy approach, the majority of this funding was provided as unrestricted operating grants, because we believe our partners know best how to utilize resources to meet the evolving needs of their communities.

We invite you to read our full 2025 Annual Report to see the deep impact of these partnerships. Stay tuned all month as we continue to share highlights and stories of healing and hope behind these numbers right here on social media!
