Polls will be open next Saturday at our hall for a Strike Authorization vote - All members working under the Nashville District Sheet Metal Contractors Association agreement are eligible to vote

**As a reminder, 2/3 of our members voting in favor of an authorization does NOT immediately enact a labor strike - this gives the Local Business Manager the ability to call a strike at a later time through our negotiations process**

Heavy Metal Summer Experience is a week-long camp devoted to high school students across the country which teaches them about apprenticeships and careers in the union building trades

This week’s Nashville camp concluded today at the new Tennessee Titans Stadium project with Turner Construction

A huge thank you to all of our members and the participating staff that work at Icon Mechanical and assisted these young men with learning about our craft this week

Students visited them all on Thursday and also had the chance to check out the training facilities for IBEW Local #429 and UA Local #572

Best of luck to each of the students on your future careers in the trades!!! 💪

Brother Jon Beaudry and his children braved the weather on Saturday alongside IUPAT Brother Charley Rodriguez and the Middle Tennessee Union Veterans Council as they placed American flags at the headstones of our fallen veterans at the Nashville National Cemetery in honor of Memorial Day.

We thank Brother Jon and all of our veteran members for their service. We stand with them in solidarity as we pay our respects to our fallen heroes. Happy Memorial Day — lest we forget. 🇺🇸

As requested at tonight’s monthly union meeting, Brother Tyler Lemay’s and Skylar Fults’ QR codes are posted below. Both of these gentlemen are current 4th year apprentices and have been injured in serious vehicle accidents, which has resulted in them being out of work for a substantial amount of time.

Any help you can give them will be greatly appreciated. We will also have a jar or equivalent set up at the hall during our strike authorization vote on Saturday, June 13th from 7am to 3pm and ratification vote on Saturday, June 20th at 8am.
